Ordered that Sarah Woods an orphan child aged eight years

Wm McCauley esq is appointed to receive the List of Taxable
of property for the District of St Thomas the present year.

Ellis McDannel esq is appointed to receive the List of
Taxable property in the District of St Asaphs for the present year.

account & settle the accounts exhibited by James Murdock Executor of
the late Moses Gwin.
Isaac Hall is appointed overseer of the road in the room of
James Murray.
Thomas Bowls is appointed overseer of the road from the
County line to the South fork of little river.
John Carrington is
Ordered that John Carrington have leave to build keep
a Tavern at his dwelling house.
Worham Glenn is appointed Constable in the District of St
Marys.
Wm Sheppard is appointed overseer of the road in the room of
Tho Hall.
John Nichols is Elected Sheriff for the County the ensuing
year.
Ordered that Joseph Woods be allow’d one pole that he was
charg’d with not of age.
Ordered that a Citation
Issue to Mary Patterson to appear at this Term & she and take

The State vs James B Horne} Ind pet Larceny. Ordered that he
be taken hence to the public whiping post and there receive Fifteen lashes on
his bear Back and that the Sheriff of Orange carry the said sentence into
execution.
Ordered that Martin Palmer be fined for non attendance as a
Tallis man.
6. State vs Thomas Riggs} Ind Trespass & Assault. Same
Jury sworn as to No on the Trial of James B Horne, find the Def’t not
Guilty as charged in the Bill of Indictm’t. Ordered that Samuel Devenport who is
the prosecutor in the above Suit pay the costs of the prosecution.
Charles Wilson an old infirm man who has lost his
eyesight excus’t from the payment of a poll Tax by reason thereof.

Daniel Green & John Seers. The above summons Persons was legally

The State vs James Riggs} Ind’t petit Larceny. Jury sworn,
to wit: John Rhodes, Jacob Branton, Brice Collins, John Bowls, Stephen Hart,
Rich’d Cate, John Dannel, Joseph Weaks, Martin Palmer, Jonathan Nichols
James Jackson, Thomas Cates, George Newton Jno Bowls. Find the Defendant
not guilty. Motion that the prosecutor pay the Costs of the above prosecution
which motion is by Court rejected.
Reubin Smith is appointed overseer of the road in the room
of Dav’d Mebane from Alex Mebane’s Sr to Meadow meeting House.

near over Enoe at or near the ford Town ford agreable to the
former Order to be to be kept Keeping Repair for Seven years which
