Holden, Martin Palmer, Jehu Bird. Find the Defendants do detain the Negro Adam

5 p Cent on the amount of his receipts & disbursements in the Management of
his Ward’s Estate, at the same time the said Chesley P Patterson resigns his
Guardianship to the said Solomon P Morgan.
John Taylor Sr is appointed Curator of the Goods &
assets of Solomon P Morgan until next Court.
Ordered that the Clerk issue notice to all Guardians to come
in at next Term & settle their accounts.

The State vs Milden Chavous} Committed to the Jail of Orange
County by the Superior Court of Chatham County. The said Milden Chavous
appeared in open Court and by the Consent of Edward Jones Sol Gen’l took the
Oath prescribed by Law for the relief of Insolvent debtors, whereupon the Court
Orders that he be discharged from Confinement.
Ordered that the County Trustee pay to William Barbee the
Sum of Twenty five dollars equal to £12.18, that Sum being assessed by a Jury
on account of a public road leading through his plantation.

men to View and turn the road leading from the forks at Bennehan’s Shop to the
Mill on Eno passing on the west side of the house lately erected by Duncan

of 13th Aug’t 30th next be bound to John Howard
until he arrive to lawful age to learn the Art & Mistery of a House
Carpenter & Joiner, he is to give learn him to read & write and

Administration with the Will annexed on the Estate of Dorcus
Hays dec’d is granted to Hardy Hurdle who enters into Bond with James Hurdle

appointed a Committee to examine the Jury Lists of Freeholders &
make out the Jury Lists according to act of Assembly.
The Widow of Jesse Heagwood dec’d having relinquished her
right of Administration on the Estate of said Jesse Heagwood Dec’d
Administration is therefore granted to Anderson Stroud on the Estate of said
Jesse Heagwood Dec’d who enters into Bond with John Stroud & John Connally
in the Sum of £300.
Ordered that Sheriff summon a Jury to lay off a road from
