Robert Eaton Sworn to attend the Grand Jury as Constable.

John McKerall is excused from his attendance at this Term as
a Juror for reasons shewn the Court on affidavit.
Jurors who have failed to attend at the Call of the Sheriff
viz: James Newland, Jeremiah Holt, George Clancy.
Benjamin Peeler vs William? Dunnagan} John Cabe a Witness in
behalf of the Defendant being Called by the Sheriff & failing to appear
according to the Subpoena served on him is fined according to act of Assembly.
Jacob Rich & Jacob Troxler are excused for their
nonattendance as Jurors at last Term by reasons shewn the Court on affidavit.

15. R M Colquhoun vs Sam’l Dick} Same Jury charged. Find
that the Defendant did assume that the & that the Acco’s are current
between Merchant Letter chanl? that there is no set off & assess the Plffs
Damages to £101.10/11 ¼ & costs.

James Patterson. Find that the Defendant did assume that there is no set off

Find that the Defendant did assume, that accounts are current between Merchant

Thompson, Abner B Bruce, Morgan Hart. Find the Cov’t declared on to be the Act
& Deed of the Defend’t, that there is no pay’t or Satisfaction & assess
the Plffs Damages to £51.18/ & Costs.

Find no payment or set off & assess the Plaintiffs Damages to £5.10/ &

Simpson Tate Admr & etc vs Henry Bracken & others}
Same jury. That there is no payt or set off, that the Dollars mentioned
in obligation are of the value of £90, that there is a payt of £57 on the 20th
Oct 1802, that the residue of the debt £47.3 including interest is still due
& Costs.
Moore, Bowden & Co ass’ee vs Hugh Lovins} Same Jury
finds a payt of £20, that there is no set off, that the residue of the debt not
paid inkling Int is £21.13.7 & Costs.

Archer Harris vs Cain & Carrington admrs} Sci fa. Same
Jury. Find that there is no paymt or set off & that Def’ts have assets
sufficient to satisfy the Plffs Demand, and that there is such a record.
James Mason vs Charles Cotton} O Alta. Same Jury. Assess the
plaintiffs Damages to £24.1/7 & Costs. Jesse Blalock being Sworn as
Guarnishee in this Case deposeth & Saith that he is indebted to the
Defendant in the Sum of £23 & was assigned at the time of his being
[something interlineated here] On motion Ordered that Sum be condemned to the
use of the plaintiff.

Wednesday 30 Nov’r 1803, Court met according to adjournment.

Resolved that this Court is of Opinion that the office of
County Attorney is now vacant – John Williams esq former attorney having not
attended to the duties of his office for 12 months last past, and that they
will proceed at next Term to fill said Office.
Reuben Woods is appointed County Attorney pro Tem.

Ordered that the Exrs of William Mebane Dec’d have until
next Court to return an Inventory of the Estate of Wm Mebane Dec’d. [His will

Thursday 1st Dec’r 1803, Court met according to
adjournment. Present: Walter Alves, James Walker, Joseph Moore} esqrs.
The Execution of a Power of Attorney from Patsey Atkinson to
Alex’r Murphy was duly proved in open Court by the Oath [of] Solomon Parks a
Subscribing Witness thereto & ordered to be registered. [See OWB D/113.]
The Executors of the last Will & Testament of
Jesse Rice Dec’d was exhibited in open Court & there being no Subscribing
Witnesses to the Same & it being proven by Wm Cain, Sam’l Turrentine &
Joseph Brittain that the said will & every part thereof is in the proper
hand writing of the
said Jesse Rice

Ordered that Johney?
Revill a free boy of Colour aged 13 years in Jan’y next be bound to William
Cain until he arrives to lawful age to learn the art & mistery of a farmer.

the Estate of Samuel Thompson is granted to Henry O’Daniel who enters into bond
with Thomas Whitted & Alexander Russell Thomas Brewer his Sec’s in
the Sum of £250.
Margaret Morrow of
lawful age comes into Court & chooses John Morrow her Guardian who enters
into bond with Wm Morrow & Robert Morrow in [the sum of] £500. [See also

Arthur Morrow of
lawful age comes into Court & chooses Wm Morrow Jr his Guardian who enters
into bond in the Sum of £500 with John Morrow & Wm Morrow Robert
Morrow. [See also guardianship OCPQS 6/478, partition of land OCPQS 6/503,
inventory OCPQS 6/506.]
Administration on
the Estate of James Morrow Jr Dec’d is granted to Robert Morrow & Wm Morrow
Jr who enters into bond with Robert Moore & James Morrow in the Sum of
£1000.
Ordered that the
Administration of James Morrow Jr Dec’d have leave to sell the whole of the
personal Estate of the said James Morrow Jr Dec’d.

Edy Weaver a free Woman of Colour be brought by Sterling Harris to next Court
