John J Carrington vs William P Mangum} Same Jury charged, find no Satisfaction that the Value of the Dollars mentioned in the bond declared is £186.19/8, that there is Satisfaction in part by the pay’t of £5.2.5 on 19th Dec 1813 and further Satisfaction in part by the pay’t of £33 on 3rd Feby 1814, that there is no other Satisfaction and that the balance on said bond in principal is £148.19 & assess the plff Damages to £7.1.4 which is Interest.
John J Carrington vs Mangum & Jones} Same Jury charged, find that the Value of the Dollars mentioned in the bond declared on is £95.10/, that there is no Satisfaction & assess the plff Damages for Int to £5.6.

John J Carrington vs John & Tho Hunt} Same Jury charged, find the Value of the dollars mentioned in the bond declared on is £236.3.9, that on on [sic] the 19th Dec 1813 there was a pay’t of £30, that on 28th Feb 1814 there was a further pay’t of £113, that the ballance due on said bond is £95.10/ in prin & assess the plff Dams in Int to £4.6.
Joseph Scott ass’ee vs Pomfret Herndon} Same Jury charged, find no payment or set off & assess the plffs Damages to £3.0.6 which is Int. Prin 55.

William Norwood vs James H Lewis} Same Jury charged – find no pay’t or set off the Bond declared on to be the Act & Deed of Defendant, that there is no pay’t or set off & assess the plffs Damages to £3.17.4 which is Int. Prin 154.12.11.
The Widow of John C?????? Taylor having relinquished her right of administration on the Estate of said John Taylor dec’d in open Court, Administration on said Estate is therefore granted to John Carrington Sr who enters into Bond with John J Carrington & William Hall his Sec’s in the Sum of £1500.

Geo Carington vs Thomas Rhew} Same Jury Charged, find all the Issues in favor of the plff & assess his Damages to 11/ & Costs. On motion, Judgment against Securities in appeal.

Abner B Bruce &c vs Mary Cates & others} David Nutt a Witness in behalf of the plaintiff having been called by the Sheriff but failing to appear is fined according to Law.
Holt & Dixon admrs vs Jesse Smith} It appearing to the Court that this Cause hath been advertised according to the Order of last Court and the Defendant not appearing at this Term, Judgment by Default is granted, and a writ of enquiry is ordered. Jury impannelled as before stated, assess the plaintiffs Damages to £195.
Jeremiah Holt is appointed Guardian to James Dixon Son of Robert Dixon Dec’d who enters into Bond with John Boon & Thomas Murdock his Securities in the Sum of £500.

On Motion of Thomas Ruffin attorney for the County, It is Ordered that a Jury be impannelled to inquire into the State of the Mind of Nancy Dixon daughter of Robert Dixon Dec’d whereupon the following Jury was impannelled & Sworn, to wit: James Hart, Moses Campbell, Joshua Thompson, Melch McDaniel, John Barton, William Marshall, John Strain, William Palmer, Jonathan Thompson, John O’Kelly, Wm Whitsell, Alex’r Strain – find that the said Nancy Dixon is an Idiot. Whereupon Thomas Murdock is appointed Guardian to the said Nancy Dixon who enters into Bond with Jeremiah Holt & John Boon his Sec’s in the Sum of £500.

Wednesday 30th Nov’r 1814, Court met according to adjournment. Present: James Webb, Thomas Whithed, Samuel Child} esqrs.
The State vs Robert Clinton} John Cole bail for the appearance of the Defendant at the next Superior Court to Ansr &c Surrenders the Def’t in discharge of said bail, whereupon the Def’t is recognized in the Sum of £1000 without Sec’y to appear at said Sup Ct to ansr &c.
James Lockhart a Constable is fined twenty shillings for absenting hims[elf] from Court without leave – rescinded.
The Execution of a Deed from Hugh Woody to Davis Thomas Davis was duly proved in open Court by the affirmation of John Newlin a Subscribing Witness thereto & ordered to be registered. [See ODB 15/31.]

The State vs James Lockhart} Ind’t. Jury Sworn: Alexander Strain, William Marshal, John Barton, James Hart, William Palmer, Joshua Thompson, Melch McDaniel, Jonathan Thompson, John Strain, Andrew Walker, Moses Campbell, George Carrington – find the Defendant Guilty in manner & form as charged in the bill of Indictment. It is Ordered that the Defendant be imprisoned two Callendar Months from this day and be fined 6d and Costs and to be imprisoned thereafter until the fines & Costs are paid and that the Sheriff carry this Sentence into Court [sic].
Wm Adams is appointed Constable to attend the Court.
It is Ordered by the Court by and with the consent of the attornies practicing in this Court that depositions may be taken in all cases now pending in this Court at two days notice of persons about to be marched from this State. [Because the War of 1812 was ongoing.]

Ordered that Thomas Woods Son of Ambros Woods of the age 6 years 5 months be bound to Tyree Garrott until he arrives to lawful age to learn the art & mistery of a farmer. [Bond not found.]
Ordered that the Indentures binding Serinah Underhill heretofore bound to John McCauly [OCPQS 7/394] be cancell’d and that said Serinah be bound to William Partin until she arrives to lawful age. [Bond not found.]
Administration on the estate of John Houza dec’d an Infant of Peter House Dec’d is granted to Anderson Clements who enters into bond with John Cabe and Nancy Houze his Securities in the Sum of £1000.
Ordered that Betsy Bateman daughter of Sally Jackson of the age of 5 years 20th March last be bound to Thomas Redding to learn the art & mistery of a Spinster. [Bond not found.]

The County Trustee vs Sam’l Turrentine} Judgment in Sup Ct. Ordered that Execution do not issue until after February Term next.
Wright House & Anderson Clements adm’tor &c vs Ezekiel Trice, Lewis House & Sarah House who are infants by their Guardian Ezekiel Trice} Petition. This coming on to be heard by consent of the petitioners by their atto and of the ???????? Ezekiel in proper person of the other defendants by their guardian the said Ezekiel, on the petition & answers, It is ordered, adjudged and decreed that partition & division of the negro slaves mentioned in the said answers between? the said petitioners & the said Lewis & Sarah equally share & share alike in Value, that the said division be in kind and that John Cabe, Chesley Page Patterson, Mann Patterson, William Trice and John Moore or any three of them be appointed and they are hereby appointed Commissioners to make the ?????ance & report under their hands & seals to the next Term of this Court, that said Trice deliver over to the petitioners the share or shares that may be allotted to them by the Commissioners aforesaid when the Division may be made.

Ordered that the County Trustee pay to Thomas Ruffin Atto &c Seventeen pounds, ten Shillings & eight pence the Amount of his fees agt Robert Clinton.
Ordered that the County Trustee or Sheriff pay to the Clerk of this Court the amount of all the Clerk’s Sheriff & Witness Money on all the prosecutions in behalf of the State against Robert Clinton in this Court wherein the said Clinton was committed to Jail or Sworn out or upon which Fifas have issued & have returned Nothing found as appears of record, amounting to thirty four pounds eleven Shillings & three pence.
A Deed from George May to Thomas Atkinson exhibited for probate at the last Term of this Court [OCPQS 8/614] was returned here into Court together with the Commission, which was issued by the Order of said Court to Robert Burkett, Nathaniel Friend & John Wilder or either of them (the same being returned by the said Robert Burkett who thereon Certifies that the Execution of the said Deed by the said May was duly proved by the Oath of Peter Morrison? One of the Subscribing Witnesses thereto and Ordered to be registered. [See ODB 14/624.]
