Thomas Latta appearing in the presence of the Court in a drunken situation & behaving in a disorderly manner the Court orders & adjudges that said Thomas Latta be removed from the Court house by the Sheriff and that he pay a fine of five dollars.

The State vs Thomas Witherton} Nolle Proseq. Ordered that the prosecutor Robert Brinkley pay the Costs of this Prosecution, it appearing to the Court that the same is ???lous & malicious.

Ordered that Alfred Sharp now of the [age of] nine months 12th Inst son of Salley Sharp be bound to Christian Sharp until he arrives to lawful age to learn the Art & mistery of a farmer. [Bond not found.]

Ephraim Cain represents to the Court that he is desirous that a licence should be granted to a Negro Slave of his named Sam to carry a Gun upon his plantation on Eno in said County, said Cain has no white overseer on said plantation but the same is superintended by the said Slave and crop is ????ded thereupon, nor has any other slave obtained license to carry a Gun on said plantation. It is therefore Ordered that a license be granted to the said Cane for the said Sam to carry a Gun on said Plantation the said Cain giving bond & Security according to Law.
